Conway High School Navy JROTC cadets participate in military installation orientation

Fifteen cadets of the Conway High School Navy JROTC traveled to Naval Amphibious Base Little Creek Virginia for a Navy Military Orientation Program sponsored by Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Atlantic on 20-23 July. The cadets were afforded the opportunity to interact with active duty personnel and directed learning through site visits of the Expeditionary Warfare Demonstrator, Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) Group, Vintage WWII Mike Boat Harbor Cruise, USS Gunston Hall guided tour and Security and Drug Intervention Canine Demonstration.

Participating cadets were: Angela Lawson, Krystal Green, Tina Parker, Jaiqeesha Hightower, Tracy Newman, Taiyon McElveen, Devin Powell, Davon Brockenbrough, Carlton Johns, Jordan McCray, Adrian Wilks, Johnathon Young, Ethan Hecker, Harlan Bell, and Harlee Gregory.

NJROTC Instructors were: LT Gerald Bonnette, MSGT Howard Brantley and HMC Solomon Eagles.

Teachers: Ms. Cheryl Graham and Mr. Francis D’Arienzo.
