HCS grows by 849 students

Horry County Schools’ enrollment climbed to 37,943 students this year, an increase of 849 students from the year before. The enrollment increase is calculated on a comparison of the tenth-day enrollment of the 2007-2008 and the 2008-2009 school years.

Schools showing the greatest gains in student enrollment are Ocean Bay Middle School (+137); Myrtle Beach Elementary School (+134); Socastee High School (+97); and Carolina Forest High School (+96).
