PARAPROFESSIONAL ASSESSMENT

In order to be eligible to apply for Aide or Substitute positions in Horry County Schools, you must have an Associate's degree, 60+ college hours, or proof of meeting No Child Left Behind Requirements (NCLB), otherwise known as the ParaProfessional Assessment

Horry County Schools is now offering the Paraprofessional test, please call Sherri Rabon at (843) 488-6200 to register for the test. She can only accept 8 people per test. For more information about the test, please click on the link above.

According to the Educational Testing Service (ETS), "The Parapro Assessment for prospective and practicing paraprofessionals measures skills and knowledge in reading, mathematics, and writing, as well as the ability to apply those skills and knowledge to assist in classroom instruction."
