  • HCS Adult Education program wins customer service award
    The HCS Adult Education program was presented the Group Specialized Customer Service Award by the SC Chapter of the International Association of Workforce Professionals (IAWP).
  • Jean Burden named Teacher of the Year
    Jean Burden, seventh grade ELA teacher at Loris Middle School, has been named Teacher of the Year.
  • More district students take AP courses and exams
    Districtwide, 740 students participated in Advanced Placement courses, an increase of 112 over the 628 who participated last year.
  • Summer Scholars Program now accepting applications
    The Summer Scholars program offers high achieving students in grades 3-12 the opportunity to take courses in the humanities, mathematics, science, creative arts, and technology.
  • Performing Arts Calendar promotes upcoming events

    EXPLORE, PLAN, and ACT
    EXPLORE is the first part of a testing system that goes on to include PLAN and the ACT. Typically, students take EXPLORE in the 8th or 9th grade, PLAN as 10th graders, and the ACT as juniors or seniors. Click here to find out more.
