With great pride and joy, I begin my fifth year as Principal of Myrtle Beach MiddleSchool. Each and every day that I come to work, I am excited and thankful to be able to work with and for the faculty, staff, parents, students and community of Myrtle Beach Middle School. In the twelve years that I have been a part of the staff of MBMS, I have seen tremendous growth and change in our school. I hope that we will continue to prosper and offer our students the best possible education in a caring and nurturing environment.
There are several things that I plan to accomplish this year. First, I want all of the MBMS family to work on building positive and nurturing relationships with as many students as they can that come into our building. Second, I would like to increase the number of students successfully participating in honors classes at MBMS. Third, I would like to increase parent involvement in the school. Fourth, I would like to increase the number of students participating in extracurricular activities at school. Finally, I want to continue to improve the communication and relationship between school and home. Working together, we can help our children get on the right path to become productive and successful adults.
At Myrtle Beach Middle School, we have made tremendous gains in our academic achievement. It is my hope that we will continue this trend. The staff and faculty at Myrtle Beach Middle School are committed to providing your child with the best possible instructional methods. Teachers are encouraged and expected to keep abreast of technology and innovative classroom practices. I believe that every child can learn and will do his or her best if given the right conditions for learning.
As a parent and educator, I realize the importance of instilling good values and building character in our students. Children learn by example from adults what is appropriate and acceptable behavior. I believe the school has a responsibility to teach children the life skills they need to be successful in school and for the future. We will continue to work with children to ensure they receive the guidance and direction they need to stay on the right track.
Myrtle Beach Middle School is a wonderful place to grow and learn because of the faculty, staff, parents, students, and community. Our community, in many ways is very supportive of our school, and allows for extended learning opportunities. I invite you to visit Myrtle Beach Middle School and see the great things happening here!
