Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s), Please help us protect the safety and security of our students by following the procedures outlined for arrival, dismissal and delivery of messages. The following procedures are in place and we need your cooperation to ensure the safety of our students: Arrival: - Students are not to be dropped off prior to 7:30 A.M., as there is no supervision for students arriving early. Students may purchase breakfast beginning at 7:30 A.M. each morning. If your child is not participating in the breakfast program, please make sure that he/she arrives by 7:55 A.M. This will allow sufficient time for students to report to class.
Dismissal: - Parents: It is requested that you not sign your child out of school during the last thirty (30) minutes of the school day. This procedure is in place to avoid continual class interruptions during the last instructional block.
- Parents are asked to pick up car riders from the designated car circle at the back of the school. This location will have at least three adults on duty at all times to direct traffic and monitor students as they wait for rides.
- The circle at the front of the school is to be used as a pick up location ONLY for students with medical conditions. The administrative staff will issue front circle passes for our students with medical needs.
- DUE TO SAFETY CONCERNS, PARENTS ARE ASKED to NOT use the teachers’ parking lot at the end of the day. This area is utilized for bus transportation.
- Students may not walk to parents’ cars unless they are escorted by an adult.
Messages: - Please give all afternoon pick up instructions to students before they leave home in the morning. Academic time is very important and we want to avoid all classroom interruptions.
- Important messages called in by 10:00 A.M. will be delivered to your child during his/her lunch time.
These procedures are in place to protect the safety of our students. As always, please contact the school if we can be of assistance to you. Thank you for your commitment to safety for all students at Forestbrook Middle School. Sincerely, Margaret B. Sordian |
