- Bring Excuses for Absences
Please send in excuses for absences as soon as possible. Students who have ten or more unexcused absences will have to attend summer school school or repat the current grade. All excuses must be given to Mrs. Frye in the attendance office. If you have questions, don't hesitate to call us! - Cell Phones Not Allowed For PACT Testing
Per the state department of education, students will not be allowed to bring cell phones during PACT testing. - PTO
Our PTO will be hosting a staff breakfast on May 5th and a luncheon on May 9th to celebrate staff appreciation week. If you would like to be involved with these events or with our end of PACT celebration, please contact Elizabeth Shortt. Call Mrs. Sibilia at 488-6040 for more information. - Cheerleading
There will be an informational meeting for all students and their parents who are interested in cheering for CMS nest year. The meeting is planned for Thursday, May 1 at 6:00pm in the media center. - End of Course Tests
Just a reminder to parents of students enrolled in English 1 or Algebra that these students will be taking an End-of-Course state test. The test counts 20% of the student's final grade in class. These high school courses are reported on students' transcripts and will factor into their high school GPA and rank. Therefore, students should be encouraged to take the tests seriously. - Spring Footbal Practice
Spring footbal practice for rising 9th graders Monday, May 12 - Friday, May 16 4 - 6PM, Conway High School Students may ride the athletic bus to CHS after school. Parents should plan on picking students up by 6PM. Spring Football Practice for rising 8th graders Tuesday, May 13 - Thursday, May 15 4 - 5:30PM NOTE: Rising 7th graders may not practice until August 2008.

Ms. Williams teaches 8th grade social studies at CMS. She is a former Horry County Teacher of the Year. She has served on various state and district committees. She sponsors our Student Council. She serves as the head of our social studies department and is one of our Literacy First Leaders. CMS will receive 20% of the total order price if you use the coupon that we give each month.
