Use of School Computers

Reminder to students on use of school computers:

Please make sure you review the Horry County Schools District policies and procedures on computer access and usage. You can find information regarding responsible use in the District Parent/Student Handbook on pages 99-101 and the SJHS Agenda book on pages 18-19., or http://www3.hcs.k12.sc.us/AboutUs/SchoolBoard/internet.html. Also, information regarding what consititutes a computer crime is located in the District Parent/Student Handbook on page 107.

Remember, it is a privilege to use the computers in school - not a right! Any abuse of these policies and procedures could result in the loss of your access to the internet/network, discipline consequences that could range from after-school detention, in-school suspension, out-of-school suspension or suspension pending an evidentiary hearing and/or criminal charges depending upon the severity of the offense.

If you need to access an internet site for educational purposes, please make sure you have permission from the teacher in charge to do so. DO NOT ALTER, CHANGE, DELETE OR DOWNLOAD ANYTHING WITHOUT YOUR TEACHERS' DIRECTION AND PERMISSION! Please be aware that your computer use on Horry County school computers is tracked at all times.
