GED
(General Education Development)

This program is an alternative means for adults to obtain a high school credential. The General Education Development (GED) test is a nationally recognized program. The test covers competencies in Interpreting Literature and the Arts, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and Writing Skills.

The GED test is administered throughout the year by the South Carolina State Department of Education. It is given at various locations statewide; it is given in the Conway area several times a year. A $70 fee is charged for each attempt.
