Two students honored for perfect attendance
February 14, 2006

The Horry County Board of Education recognized two students for having perfect attendance at its February 13 Board meeting. Perfect attendance students are honored for not having missed a single day of school in grades 1-5, 1-8, or 1-11. The students attended school for 900, 1,440 or 1,980 days, respectively, without an absence.

Perfect attendance honorees are: Travis Michael Monahan, Conway Middle School, grades 1-5; and Kayla Danielle Hucks, Aynor High School, grades 1-11. Monahan received a medal and a certificate. Hucks received a plaque and a $100 savings bond.

Last fall, 22 other students were recognized for having achieved perfect attendance, bringing the district total to 24 students this year.
